EAP release notes: clearer update indicators in InDesign and more

Written by Vicosight | Oct 27, 2026, 8:41:22 AM

Released on 9 April 2026.

This release makes it easier to keep your InDesign and InCopy documents in step with Vicosight, with a more precise indicator on linked content that has an update waiting. It also includes fixes for list insertion in the extension and for numeric tagging.

What's new

Clearer update indicators for linked content

When a section is approved in Vicosight, the sections and segments you've already placed in your InDesign or InCopy document don't change until you update them. We've made the update indicator in the Vicosight panel more precise: it now appears only on linked sections and segments that have a newer approved version, while content that's already up to date shows no indicator. When you run a live update, the indicator stays in place until you've updated the content in your document, so you can spot at a glance what still needs refreshing and be confident your report contains the latest approved content.

InDesign & InCopy extension

Improvements

  • The "updates available" indicator in the Vicosight panel now appears only on linked sections and segments with newer approved content, and stays until you've updated them.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where numbered lists weren't inserted as expected from the Vicosight panel.

Tagging

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where numbers using an apostrophe as the thousands separator weren't recognised correctly, which caused the tag preview to fail.
  • Fixed an issue where clicking the indicator on content with several tags scrolled the page instead of opening the tag dialog.
