Released on 26 October 2026.
This release introduces the Tag Plan, a place to plan your tagging work as you browse the taxonomy, and brings Calculations into the tagging view, so you can see where a total doesn't add up while you work. Table tagging gains an Ignore option for rows and columns and a table status summary, you can generate your ESEF package from the editor, and suggestion mode lets reviewers propose wording changes.
What's new
Tag Plan
Until now, many of you tracked the tags you expected to apply in a separate spreadsheet, because Vicosight had no equivalent. We're pleased to introduce the Tag Plan: a list of the taxonomy elements you plan to tag, kept next to the Taxonomy Browser. You build it as you browse, and each entry shows whether it has been applied yet, so you can see at a glance what is still outstanding. Entries are grouped by taxonomy, and extension elements work the same way as elements from the base taxonomy.
How it works
- Open the Tag Plan: switch on the Tag Plan in the Taxonomy Browser to open the plan beside it. Until you plan something, an empty state explains how to start.
- Add elements: click the button next to any taggable element to mark it as planned, and click it again to unmark it. The entry appears in the Tag Plan straight away. Hover over an entry to see who added it and when.
- Remove an entry: remove a tag from your plan at any time. Tags you have already applied in the document are not affected.
- Check progress: each entry shows whether it has been applied. An applied entry lists every time it was applied, with its preferred label role and dimensions, so a tag used twice with different roles shows both.
- Jump to the tag: click an applied entry to go to where it is applied in the report, and to its place in the Taxonomy Browser. Entries that haven't been applied yet take you to the Taxonomy Browser only.

Calculations in your tagging view
Arithmetic problems in a report have often come to light late, at export or during external validation, and far from the statement that caused them. This release brings Calculations to the place where you tag. A fact that takes part in a calculation that doesn't add up is now marked in the tagging view, the totals in your tables show their calculation state, and a new Calculations tab in the Inspector explains each finding in full. You can fix the problem where it arises, with the table or section still open in front of you.
How it works
- At the fact: a marker in the tagging view shows which tagged facts take part in a calculation that doesn't add up.
- In the table: totals show their calculation state. A status chip above each table shows its root abstract together with an overall calculation status: Adds up, not evaluated yet, or errors. Click the chip to edit or remove the root abstract, or to jump to the first calculation with errors.
- In the Inspector: the Calculations tab lists every calculation the selected fact takes part in, with the contributing values, the calculated sum and the difference.
- Set a finding aside: if you've decided a finding doesn't need fixing, you can mark it as reviewed and disregard it, optionally with a reason. It stays visible in the tab, labelled as disregarded, and stops drawing a marker or an error in the table. You can reverse it at any time, and if the numbers behind it change, it comes back and tells you it was previously disregarded. Disregarding needs edit access.
- Rounding setting: the new Calculation settings section in the project settings lets you choose how rounding is interpreted: round to nearest (the default) or truncation. Because this can change which calculations are reported as inconsistent, set it to match how your figures were prepared. A change applies from the next evaluation, with no need to re-tag.
- Calculation Builder: you can now edit and delete calculation relationships.
For context, ESMA's ESEF Reporting Manual (Guidance 3.4.1) notes that a flagged calculation inconsistency does not necessarily mean the report is incorrect, and that some of these can be disregarded.

We're working on building and reading nested calculations (sub-calculations).
Table tagging: ignore rows and columns, and a table status summary
Two additions make large tables easier to manage. You can now mark a row or column as Ignore to keep it out of tagging altogether. An ignored row or column, and every cell it covers, is skipped by bulk tagging, Inspector actions and drag-select, and it looks visibly different in the Tagging tab. The table's root abstract widget has also become a table status summary: one chip above the table shows the root abstract and the calculation status of the table's totals.
Generate your ESEF package in Vicosight
The tagging toolbar's Export Extension Taxonomy button has been replaced by Generate ESEF package. Choose the package extension, .xbri (the default) or .zip, and the submission version, from 1 to 9, and Generate downloads the package. The editor stays usable while the package is being generated. If something stops it, such as missing read access to a section or a project without an LEI, you get a message that says why. The package's metadata is kept in a new Taxonomy Package tab in the project settings, filled in with defaults from your project, and generation is blocked until that metadata is valid.
Custom dimension members and axes
When the core taxonomy doesn't define the equity component or breakdown you need, you can now add your own. In both dimension dialogs, expand an axis and choose + Add a new member to the axis to add a member to it, or create a custom axis together with its first members. Your own members and axes are labelled Custom member and Custom axis, and a new member is selected or assigned to the row or column you're editing straight away. You can also delete a custom member or axis you no longer need. If it's still used in tagging, we tell you first and ask you to untag it. For extension concepts, the label can now be edited while the concept's identity stays read-only.
Suggestion mode in the editor
Previously, a reviewer who wanted a wording change could only describe it in a comment, and the author had to retype it. You can now switch on suggestion mode in the section editor, and your text edits are stored as suggestions instead of changing the accepted content. Insertions, deletions and replacements are shown with who made them, and authorised users can accept or reject each one. Suggestions stay with the section when you close and reopen it, and unresolved suggestions don't appear in exported report text.
