Released on 23 February 2026, with a follow-up patch on 24 February 2026.
This is the release that opened compliance-first reporting in Vicosight to our Early Access Programme. It brings native tagging into the Vicosight editor, from text and monetary tags to continuations that span several sections, and a Vicosight extension that places approved content straight into InDesign and InCopy. Around them sit a project-wide editing view, a full set of review tools with comments, mentions and notifications, and a long list of fixes from our pre-launch testing.
What's new
As this is the first release for EAP customers, this page describes what you can do in Vicosight at launch, area by area, rather than listing every individual change.
Tagging in the Vicosight editor
We're pleased to introduce tagging directly in the Vicosight editor. Previously, tagging was a separate step that happened after the report was written, in a different tool. In Vicosight, you tag the same content your colleagues write and review, so the tags travel with the text as it changes and there's no hand-over between the report and its machine-readable version.
How it works
- Project setup: in Vicosight Settings, project admins choose the regulation and taxonomy the report is tagged against, set the reporting period and LEI, and configure the extension taxonomy. The taxonomy list only shows taxonomies that belong to the chosen regulation, and you're warned if a change might mean revalidating existing tags.
- Text tags and continuations: when a disclosure is split across the page, you can add each new piece of text to an existing tag instead of creating a duplicate. A confirmation dialog shows the tag you're adding to, and you can choose to skip it when you're extending a chain you're already working on. Continuations always follow the reading order of the document, you can remove a whole chain or choose a new first block, and you can continue a tag from an earlier section as long as you can edit both sections and neither is locked by a colleague.
- Monetary tags: select a number in the text and tag it as a monetary amount. New monetary tags pick up the project defaults for currency, scale and decimal places, which you set once in the project settings. You can then check and change the currency, scale and decimals for an individual tag in the Tag Inspector, or remove the tag altogether.
- Reporting periods: every tag takes its period from the project's reporting period. If one value relates to a different period, edit its dates in the Tag Inspector; only that tag changes.
- Overlapping tags: where several tags start at the same point in the text, a visual cue in the editor lets you choose which tag to open in the Tag Inspector.
Looking ahead
The groundwork for number formats and sign handling on monetary tags is already in place, and we'll bring these options into the editor in a later release.
Vicosight extension for InDesign and InCopy
Report designers no longer need to copy text from a Word file or an email into the layout and hope it's the final version. The Vicosight panel in InDesign and InCopy shows the sections of your Vicosight project, so you can place approved content straight into the document and keep it linked to its source.
How it works
- Open the panel from the Vicosight menu in InDesign or InCopy, and pick a section from the section list. The list follows the same order as the project in Vicosight.
- Preview a section as a tree organised by its headings, and expand any segment to read its full content before you use it. A loading indicator shows while the content is fetched.
- Insert a whole section or a single segment at your cursor, using the quick actions next to each item. Inserted content arrives with basic styling and is marked with a non-printing indicator, so linked content is easy to tell apart from text you've typed yourself.
- Navigate and update: click linked content in your document to jump to its source in the panel. When the content has changed in Vicosight, the panel shows which sections and segments have updates available, and you can update them one at a time without touching the rest of the document.
Editing the whole report in one view
When you open a section, the editor now shows the whole project in one continuous view and scrolls straight to the section you chose. Project admins can reorder sections without leaving the editor, and you can preview the entire project as a single document. If a colleague deletes the section you have open, you're told straight away instead of carrying on editing content that no longer exists.
Review and collaboration
Review in Vicosight happens where the content lives. Comment on any part of a section, bring a colleague in with an @ mention, and track each comment through its life with a status: New, In Progress, Review, Done or Rejected. Every new comment starts as New. You can edit your own comments, and if you delete one by mistake, you can undo it straight away.
When someone mentions you or replies to your comment, you get a notification in Vicosight and by email, in English or Swedish. Clicking an in-app notification takes you straight to the comment, opening the right section if it's in another part of the report. The notification panel in Vicosight only shows Vicosight notifications.
