Released on 21 September 2026.
This release makes table tagging smoother from start to finish, with clearer period cues, a tagging mode that's easier to find and an editor that switches to the right tab for you. You can now also save milestone versions of a section while you keep editing, filter review comments by status, and tag extensible enumeration concepts.
Tagging a financial statement table involves a lot of moving between panels, and some of the most useful table tools were easy to miss. Previously, row and column tagging only became available through a right-click on the table, the column period picker only offered periods that already existed in the project, and the Taxonomy Browser forgot your expanded tree and filters every time you closed it. We've reworked these parts of the experience so you can spend less time setting up and more time tagging.
Since we simplified the draft experience, your changes in a section save automatically, but there was no way to mark a point in the work as a version worth keeping. You can now choose Create milestone in the section editor to save a snapshot of the section as a milestone version. You keep the section and carry on editing, and every change after that is tracked in a new draft. The Versions dialog labels milestones and the reason behind other versions, and its All and Milestones tabs let you see just the versions you created on purpose.
As a report moves through review, the comment panel can quickly fill up with feedback that has already been dealt with. You can now open the new filter menu in the comment panel and show only the comments with the statuses you choose: New, In Progress, Review, Done or Rejected. You can select several statuses at once, and each comment is shown with its full thread of replies. When you open a report, the filter starts with New, In Progress and Review selected, so the open feedback is what you see first.
This is the first comment filter. More ways to filter, such as by mentions, author and recent activity, are on the way.
Some disclosures ask you to choose from a fixed list of values rather than enter text, for example the depreciation methods used across your asset classes. You can now tag these extensible enumeration concepts directly in Vicosight, whether they take a single value or several values at once. The Inspector shows a checklist of the allowed values by their labels, and when you reopen the fact, every value you picked is still selected. These facts can also span several blocks of text or be applied in block tagging, just like other text tags.
For context, this follows the Extensible Enumerations 2.0 specification, which defines how concepts with a single value or a set of values are reported in iXBRL.
Dimensional tables, such as the statement of changes in equity, often need dimensions on both rows and columns. You can now assign dimensions to rows and columns in the same table, and the Inspector shows where each of a fact's dimensions comes from. A row or column can now carry a period and dimensions together, and removing one leaves the other in place. When you change or remove a row or column's dimension, every tagged fact in it now updates in one step. You first see how many facts will change, and a single undo restores everything.
