Released on 2 June 2026.
This release gives you more control over duplicate tags and continuation chains: you can turn a duplicate into part of a chain, block tagging now offers to attach to an existing chain, and sections that a chain runs through are protected from reordering. The taxonomy browser now shows the full details of each element, and the catalogue shows the state of every section.
Building on the continuation chains you can already create across sections, we've made it easier to tidy up text block tags that have been applied more than once. Previously, when the same concept had been tagged in two places, you had to find and fix the duplicate yourself. Now, when you select a duplicate tag, Vicosight flags it with a red alert and the Inspector shows a card that links to the other copy. From that card you can go straight to the related section, delete the duplicate, or convert it into a continuation block so that both parts become a single chain.
Block tagging works the same way. When you apply a block tag that is already in use, in the same section or in another one, a dialog asks whether you'd like to create a duplicate tag or attach the new selection to the existing chain.
To keep chains in the right order, admins can no longer reorder sections that a continuation chain runs through. Sections without continuations can still be reordered as before.
Choosing the right concept often means checking more than its name. When you select an element in the taxonomy browser, you can now see its properties (balance, ID, name, period type and type), its labels in your project's language, and its accounting standard references. This gives you what you need to make an informed tagging decision without leaving the editor.
Next, you'll be able to search within the taxonomy browser.
